Peter Collyer - Chairman
Peter has lived in the Village for over 30 years and has served on the Parish Council for over 15 Years, most recently as Chairman, having served on various Sub Committees during that period. He now serves on the Amenities Working Party with Val Core.
He is a Chartered Surveyor in Private Practice working from an office at West Hall.
Peter also serves as a Trustee and member of the Village Hall Management Committee

Barbara moved to Quinton in 1992. She was co-opted to the Parish Council in May 1999 and very quickly became involved in “keeping Quinton rural”. She spoke at NCC and SNC Planning Meetings and represented Quinton at local meetings. She acted as Clerk in an interim period. Barbara is involved in many aspects of village life, notably Jubilee celebrations. Her working background, both being employed in a large company and self-employed in a family business, has given her a wealth of experience.

Julia moved to the Parish four years ago. Before retirement she worked in Human Resources. She enjoys the village events and getting to know other residents. She has extensive experience in planning and highways, employment and policies - gained from a previous Parish Council role.

Val has lived in Quinton/Quinton Green for 39 years with her husband Mick who worked on the farm until 4 years ago. She has worked at the local GP surgery for the last 29 years. A leader with Guides for 20 years, Val is passionate about the village and village life, supporting many events over the years including May Day and the Village Fete.
The show secretary for Quinton & Preston Deanery Produce Show since its start 30 years ago, Val is currently President of WI and Safeguarding Officer for children and vulnerable adults in the Parish.

Peter moved to Quinton in 2015, after a 40 year career in both the public and private sector and he is now a rare book dealer. His interests include heritage, conservation and the natural environment with particular concern for planning decisions which affect the countryside and rural communities. Road safety in Quinton is high on his list of priorities for the Village.
