Activities

Salcey Trefoil Guild

The Mission of the Trefoil Guild is to offer members personal and social opportunities while supporting Guiding and Scouting.  They admit men and women aged 18 years and above.

Salcey Trefoil Guild has seventeen members from Quinton and the surrounding area.  We usually meet on the third Tuesday of the month, the venue depending on our programme.

For further details please contact Mary on 10604 862660.

Senior Citizens Club

Anyone who is a senior citizen from Quinton, Quinton Green and Preston Deanery is welcome.

We meet every week on a Monday afternoon at 2.30pm until 4.30pm. You don’t have to come every week - you come when you want to.
Depending on how many come we play various games such as Bananarama, Dominoes or Cards. If we have enough people we can play Bowls. We always have a cup of tea and a chat (not a gossip!).

Quinton Gardening Club

The club meets every second Thursday of the month in various places, as well as going on outings to garden centres and open gardens. Every member receives a calendar to use when we plan our programme for the following year.

Meetings are held in each other’s homes to talk about gardening and to watch interesting gardening DVDs or plan our tubs and have the obligatory cup of tea.

The tubs that you see around the village are cared for by us to help make our village look prettier. In addition, we hope to develop a colour scheme for the village. One of our plans is to do some tubs for the Village Hall patio to make it more welcoming.

The club is open to anyone living in Quinton who is interested in gardening. There is no membership fee but we pay for what we need as we go along. If we do go out we each pay the driver £2.00.

If you are interested please telephone Joan Adams on 01604 862065 for details of our next meeting.

Quinton WI

Quinton WI was originally formed in June 1946 and we offer a varied programme including topical and traditional talks, with several hands-on meetings where you may learn a new craft. We also meet for lunch once a month between meetings, go on outings and join in with Federation and local WIs for their events. As a small village, we are involved in the local community and are often asked to provide refreshments for the annual crowning of the May Queen - an event which has records going back over 60 years.

We have our own website page:
